Invisalign® What's keeping you from achieving the perfect smile? Many adults would love to straighten their teeth, but they hate the idea of wearing the braces that are generally assumed with adolescence. There are other options available in orthodontia. Invisalign is different. Invisalign is a system of clear braces that allow you to obtain a uniform smile without sacrificing your polished look. This system uses a series of clear, custom aligners that will gradually shift your teeth in incremental shifts into the proper position. Clear braces are ideal for solving problems including teeth crowding and closing gaps in your front teeth. Treatment usually lasts 6 to 18 months, which is a significantly shorter treatment time than traditional the metal braces usually require. Dr. Swanson starts the process with 3-D images of your teeth, both in their current state and using a specialized software, where you would like your teeth to be. He sends the information to an Invisalign dental lab to produce a series of aligners. Our patients will wear each aligner for about two weeks before moving on to the next aligner in the series. We would like to see you for an appointment every six to eight weeks, to monitor your progress.
